Skin  Wash affected area with soap and water.  Apply Vitamen E Cream or a simple body milk. If symptoms persist seek medical attention

Note to Doctor :   This product contains Pyrethrins.  Do not confuse with with organophosphorus compounds.  Recovery is usually spontaneous. There is no specific antidote. Do not use atropine or derivatives of adrenaline

 

BIOPREN  BMS

BIOPREN BMS DUO

0.5% S-Methoprene

Methoprene is an insect growth regulator

Eyes  Immediately flush the eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes.  If irritation persists seek medical advice

Ingestion :  No known adverse effects. Wash mouth with water. Seek medical attention

Inhalation :  No known adverse effects. Remove to fresh air

Skin   Not known to cause skin irritation. If irritation occurs, wash affected area with soap and water

 

CRACKDOWN  and

DELTAMOST SC and

K-OTHRINE 1% SC10

Supplied for professional use as a suspension concentrate containing 1% Deltamethrin.

The concentrate is diluted and applied at a rate of 75ml concentrate in 5 litres of water

Eyes       

Flood with water for 15 minutes holding eye open Seek urgent medical attention.

Ingestion

Wash out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Do not give anything to eat or drink. Keep warm and at rest. Seek urgent medical attention

 

Skin       

Wash skin with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing as washing proceeds Wash or dry clean contaminated dothing. Seek urgent medical attention.

ADVICE TO DOCTOR

Treat symptomatically and supportively.

 

CYMBAZ

Concentrate contains 10% Cypermethrin

and is diluted for use at the rate of 25ml in 5 litres water

Eyes  Immediately flush the eyes with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice

Ingestion :  Do not induce vomiting  Seek medical attention immediately

Inhalation :  Remove to fresh air and rest. If symptoms persist seek medical advice

Skin   Wash affected area immediately with plenty of soap and water. For persistant irritation seek medical advice

 

DETHLAC

Aerosol spray containing 0.02% Deltamethrin

Dries to a hard lacquer finish on hard surfaces

 

There is little risk from contact with the dried lacquer.  The main risk is contamination from the aerosol spray while still liquid

Eyes  Immediately flood the eye with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, holding the eye open. Obtain medical attention urgently.

Ingestion  Do not induce vomiting. Never administer anything by mouth if a victim is losing consciousness, is unconscious or is convulsing. Promptly let victim drink plenty of water to dilute the swallowed chemical. Give milk to drink if it is readily available. Keep warm and at rest. Obtain medical attention.

Inhalation  Never make an unconscious person vomit or drink fluids! DO NOT induce vomiting. Remove from exposure. Keep warm and at rest. If breathing stops or shows signs of failing, give artificial respiration. Obtain medical attention.

Skin  Immediately flood the skin with large quantities of water, preferably under a shower. Remove
contaminated clothing as washing proceeds. Obtain medical attention if blistering occurs or redness
persists. Keep warm and at rest. Contaminated clothing should be washed or dry-cleaned before
re-use.

 

DRAX Gel

DRAX  PF – Gel

DRAX  Dual Gel

All 3 products contain the same active ingredient

5% w/w Boric Acid

Eyes : Flush  thoroughly with eye wash solution or clean water

Ingestion :DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Wipe contaminant out of mouth then rinse out mouth several times with clean water. Seek immediate medical attention

Inhalation : Remove to fresh air. Get medical attention if irritation persists

Skin : Wash off with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing

 

STICKY TRAPS

Various brand names. They do not contain any insecticide

Sticky traps contain a soft sticky glue to trap insects so that the infestation can be monitored. Some traps have a non poisonous bait in the centre.

Remove any glue from skin with warm water and soap.  If the non poisonous bait or trapped insects  have been eaten consult your doctor or vet.

 

EMPIRE 20  and

LUXAN Master ME

Concentrate contains  20% - 25% chlorpyrifos

 

For treatment of premises the concentrate is diluted at 50ml in 5 litres of water

Eyes : Flush thoroughly with water for several minutes and  seek immediate medical advice

Ingestion :  Do not induce vomiting.  Wash out mouth with water. Seek immediate medical advice

Inhalation :  Remove to fresh air. Seek immediate medical advice

Skin :  Remove contaminated clothing Wash with plenty of  soap and water. Seek medical advice

 

Advice to Doctor :  Pesticide contains a cholinesterase inhibitor. Atropine, only by injection, is the preferable antidote. Oximes, such as 2-PA M/protopam, may be therapeutic if used early: however, use only in conjunction with atropine.  Supportive care.  Treatment based on judgement of physician in response to symptoms of patient. If ingested perform gastric lavage and administer activated charcoal

 

GOLIATH GEL

A gel dispensed from an applicator gun as gel baits of about 1 gram

 

 

0.05%  Fipronil

Eyes Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, also under eyelids

Ingestion Seek medical advice.

Inhalation   Move patient to fresh air and keep at rest.  Seek medical advice if symptoms persist

Skin contact      Remove contaminated, soaked clothing immediately and dispose of safely . Wash off  skin with soap and water

ADVICE TO DOCTOR :  Symptoms may include Restlessness, Anxiety, Tremor :  Treat symptomatically, there is no antidote.  Gastric lavage with charcoal, if necessary further treatment.  Against convulsions :- Give Diazepam 5 –10 mg for adults, intravenously as necessary until fully sedated : for children 2.5 mg  I.V.

 

FICAM D

1% Bendiocarb

Eyes   Flood with water for 15 minutes holding eye open Seek urgent medical attention.

 

Ingestion   Wash mouth out with water. Induce vomiting if conscious and patient has has ingested a large quantity within the last 30 minutes Do not gIve anything to eat or drink. Keep patient warm and at rest. Seek urgent medical attention.

 

Skin  Wash skin with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing as washing proceeds Wash or dry clean contaminated dothing. Seek medical attention.

 

ADVICE TO DOCTOR:

This is an anticholinesterase carbarnate insecticide. Recommended antidote is atropine sulphate Adult dose is 2mg preferably by injection Repeat as necessary until patient is fully atropinised DO NOT use pralidoxime

 

 

FICAM W

80% Bendiocarb as an off white powder contained in a 15 gram sachet or a 500 gram polythene jar

When applied to surfaces 15g - 30g. of product is diluted in 5 litres of water and residual concentrations are very low

 

GOURMET ANT BAIT

 

GEL 4.1% Disodium octaborate tetrahydrate

plus a trace (< 1%) Sodium hydroxide

LIQUID

1% Disodium octaborate tetrahydrate

Eyes  Remove contact lenses. Flush eye with fresh water for 15 – 20 minutes. If irritation persists seek medical advice

Ingestion : Drink water and obtain immediate medical help.  DO NOT induct vomiting

Inhalation : Remove to fresh air.  If patient is not breathing apply artificial respiration

Skin : Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water

Notes to Doctor :  Observation only is required for adult ingestion of less than 6gm of Disodium octaborate tetrahydrate. For ingestion in excess of 6 gm maintain adequate kidney function and force fluids. Gastric lavage is recommended for symptomatic patients only. Hemodialysis should be reserved for massive acute ingestion or patients with renal failure.  Disodium octaborate tetrahydrate analysis of urine and blood are only useful for documenting exposure and should not be used to evaluate severity or as a guide to treatment

 

KILLGERM ULV 500

A straw coloured flammable liquid intended to be applied undiluted as an ultra low volume mist spray using an electrically powered sprayer

 

Eyes  Flush thoroughly with eye wash solution or clean water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention

 

Ingestion  Do not induce vomiting : Get medical attention  Wash out mouth with water.  If spontaneous vomiting has occurred keep patient at rest, ensuring airways are clear and phone for an ambulance with oxygen facilities

 

Inhalation  Remove to fresh air. Loosen clothing at neck. Keep at rest. Get medical attention

 

Skin  Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with soap and water. Get medical attention

ADVICE TO DOCTOR

Contains pyrethroids in petroleum distillates

Further advice is available from your local Poisons Information Centre

 

 

MAXFORCE ULTRA

 

A brown gel with a sweet odour.  Supplied in 30gm and 300gm tubes and dispensed from an applicator gun as gel baits of about 1 gram

Active ingredients

2.15% Hydramethylnon

10 - 20% 1,2,3 Propanetriol

1 - 5% Oleic acid

Eyes: Rinse immediately with clean water for at least 15 minutes and obtain medical aid

Ingestion  Wash out mouth with water.  Keep patient at rest and seek medical advice. Do not induce vomiting

Skin  Remove contaminated clothing.  Wash affected area with soap and water.  Seek medical advice if at all worried

 

ADVICE TO DOCTOR: 

This product has a low toxicity and to date there are no documented symptoms for local contamination or systemic poisoning.  Initial treatment should be symptomatic and supportive.  Further advice is available from your local Poisons Information Centre.  The manufacturer of the product  (AgrEvo UK Ltd) has support available from their Occupational Health Dept on 01223 870312 or from 24 hour emergency number 01223 252303

 

NYLAR 4-EW

NYLAR 100

 

1 – 10% Pyriproxyfen

in a Naptha carrier

Eyes :  Rinse with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical help

Ingestion :  Harmful, may cause lung damage if swallowed.  Do not induce vomiting. If conscious give a small amount of milk or water to drink and seek immediate medial help

Inhalation : Remove to fresh air and keep patient at rest. Seek medical advice

Skin :  Wash skin with soap and water.  If irritation persists seek medical advice

 

PRO CONTROL Crawling Insect Killer

Aerosol  spray : Contains

0.47%  Permethrin

0.09%  Bioallethrin

 

Eyes :  Rinse with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical help

Ingestion :  Unlikely with an aerosol. Wash out mouth with water., No not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice

Inhalation : Remove to fresh air and keep patient at rest. Seek medical advice

Skin :  Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with soap and water. Seek medical advice

ADVICE TO DOCTOR

This material is a pyrethroid.  It is NOT an organophosphorous compound and MUST NOT be confused with such compounds.  Local contamination causes skin and eye paraesthesiae which may be severe but is usually transient with resolution within 24 hours. Inhalation may cause irritation of nose and throat.  Systematic poisoning causes headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and, at very high doses, convulsions and coma.  Recovery is normally spontaneous

Treatment : 

For local contamination – symptomatic.  For skin apply Vitamen E cream or simple toilet milk.  For eye contamination consider instillation of local anaesthetic eye drops.  Also give analgesics as necessary.

For systemic poisoning – carry out endotracheal intubation followed by gastric lavage, charcoal administration (and artificial respiration if necessary) and monitor cardiac and respiratory function

Antidote :  There is no specific antidote.  Diazepam I.V. may be given as anticonvulsant therapy. Contraindications – Andrenergic compounds, Atropine

ADVICE TO DOCTOR   Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide  Potassium chlorate is not an insecticide but forms part of the pyrotechnic base of the smoke generator The main risk is that a tablet may be eaten or smoke may be inhaled.  The pesticide has little residual effect and the total quantity of pesticide in a single tablet is very small

 

Stingray ME

 

Ingredients

Eyes : Risk of serious damage to eyes. Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation persists obtain medical attention

Ingestion : Do not induce vomiting. If conscious give a small amount of milk or water to drink and obtain medical attention. Show the container label or this safety data sheet to the doctor.

Inhalation : Inhalation of mist or spray, may cause irritation of the respiratory system. Move to fresh air. Obtain medical advice immediately.

Skin contact : May cause skin irritation in susceptible persons. Remove contaminated clothing Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. If irritation persists obtain medical attention Contaminated clothing should be washed and dried before re-use

General advice : In the case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately

 

TENOPA

2.97% Alphacypermethrin

2.97% Flufenoxuron

The concentrate is a white odourless slightly viscous liquid issued only to pest control operators.  When applied, 25ml concentrate is diluted in 5 litres of water and residual concentrations on surfaces are very low

Eyes        Wash out eye with plenty of water. If irritation persists obtain medical advice

Ingestion ; Do not induce vomiting. Wash out mouth with water. Drink plenty of water and obtain medical advice

Inhalation : Remove from exposure. Obtain medical advice if symptoms develop

Skin ; Wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing as washing proceeds. Obtain medical advice if necessary

ADVICE TO DOCTOR

The product contains a pyrethroid insecticide and an acyl urea insect growth regulator. It is of low toxicity and acute poisoning is unlikely to occur. Transient skin sensations, including facial paresthesia, have been observed in humans. The application of olive oil to affected areas that have been washed and dried has provided prompt relief.

 

VULCAN KD WP

The concentrate is a powder containing

34.0% cypermethrin

3.26% tetramethrin

As applied, 20gm is diluted in 5 litres of water

Eyes :  Hold eye open and irrigate with copious amounts of warm water for at least 10 minutes :  Seek medical advice immediately

Ingestion :  if swallowed, take victim to a doctor immediately. Do not induce vomiting

Inhalation :  Product is unlikely to be an inhalation hazard in normal use. If inhaled obtain immediate medical advice

Skin contact : remove contaminated clothing. Wash exposed skin with soap and water

Advice to Doctor :  Gastric lavage may be effective when performed within 4 hours of ingestion.  Aspiration of material into lungs should be avoided. Symptomatic treatment and supportive therapy as indicated

 

WASP NEST DESTROYER MkII

Aerosol containing

0.05% Tetramethrin

48.0% Perchloroethylene

12.0% Dichloromethane

 

Eyes       Flood with water. Seek urgent medical advice

Ingestion Wash mouth out with water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek urgent medical advice

Inhalation Move patient to fresh air. If intoxicated apply artificial respiration. Seek urgent medical advice

Skin contact Wash with soap and water. Wash or clean contaminated clothing

Advice to Doctor

The risk from the insecticide (Tetramethrin) is low. Perchloroethylene is used as a carrier and is an anaesthetic and can induce cardiac sensitization. Adrelaline or similar sympathomimetic drugs should not be given
